In der Serie „Puppets“ des Künstlerduos Polybros entstehen neue Skulpturen, als Surrogat und Projektionsfläche, neue Objekte, gefunden aus vielen. Polybros formen neue, multiple Identitäten, geheime Wünsche, Ängste, Wunschbilder, neue Wesen an der Grenze zwischen Objekt und Fantasie, Transformation und Artefakt.
Polybros, Ansgar Frings und Henry J. Wintherberg, formen zeitgenössische Objekte und Skulpturen im Spannungsfeld theoretischer Komplexe, polygonaler Grundstrukturen, zwischen Assemblage und Objet trouvé. Polybros Arbeiten sind dunkel und monumental, leicht und schwebend, filigran und zerbrechlich, beeindruckend groß, dezent, schlicht und unique. Ihre Faszination ist auf mehreren Ebenen begründet; Material, Form, Farbe, die Einzigartigkeit der einzelnen Stücke und Elemente, die Vielfalt der Dinge, die Verbindung zwischen Einem und Allem.
In the “Puppets” series by the artist duo Polybros, new sculptures emerge as surrogates and projection screens, new objects, found out of many. Polybros shape new, multiple identities, secret desires, fears, ideals, new beings on the border between object and fantasy, transformation and artefact.

Polybros’ works are dark and monumental, light and floating, delicate and fragile, impressively large, subtle, simple and unique. Their fascination is based on multiple levels – material, shape, colour, the uniqueness of the individual pieces and elements, the variety of things, the connection between one and all.
