D Der 1985 in Berlin geborene Künstler Christian Hinz aka Kera beschäftigt sich seit über 20 Jahren mit Farben, Drucktechniken und Fassadenmalerei.
Seine Arbeiten sind geometrisch abstrakt, aber doch zugleich räumlich; dabei spielen Grafik und Ästhetik eine große Rolle. Sowohl die Umgebung und die dazugehörige Farbwelt als auch Impulse aus seiner Liebe zum Haptischen und Handwerklichen fließen oft mit ein.
In seinen Arbeiten spiegeln sich sein Grafikdesign-Studium und seine Leidenschaft zur Linie, Struktur und Fläche sichtbar wider, auch der jahrelange Umgang mit Sprühdose, Wandfarbe und Pinsel färbt seinen Stil. Am liebsten beschäftigt er sich mit großformatigen Wänden, die zu produzierende Fläche kann für ihn nicht groß genug sein.
Seine Wandbilder und Kunst-am-Bau-Projekte sind weltweit verteilt, von Katar, Großbritannien, über Mexiko bis hin in verschiedene europäische Regionen. Auch in Galerien und auf zahlreichen Messen ist er vertreten – hierfür gestaltet er Leinwände und Objekte in seinem Stil auf komprimierte und detaillierte Weise.
Seit 2012 arbeitet er als freischaffender Künstler. Seine Begeisterung für Siebdruck gibt er seit 2019 als Lehrbeauftragter für Drucktechniken an der Jugendkunstschule Steglitz weiter.
His artistic work is geometric and abstract, but at the same time spatial, with graphics and aesthetics playing a big role. The artwork is influenced by a combination of capturing his surroundings and their unique colours, as well as by impulses taken from the artist’s love for haptic and technical things.
Kera’s work is highly impacted by his graphic design studies and the passion for straight lines, structure and surface. The longstanding use of spray paint, brushes and wall paint have also helped him develop his own style.
Murals and “Kunst am Bau” (art on architecture) projects can be found all over the world, from Qatar to Mexico to Great Britain, as well as in many more European spots. The artist has also been represented by galleries and art fairs, for which he has painted on canvas or formed objects, representing his style in a compact and more detailed way.
Since 2012, Kera has been working as a freelance artist, and can now even pass on his fascination and passion for printing techniques as a lecturer at the Jugendkunstschule Berlin-Steglitz.
